Job description

Role Overview

Infosys seeks an Analog Layout Technology Lead to collaborate closely with layout engineers and RF designers. You will be crafting detailed transistor-level layouts for RF and analog circuit components such as bandgap references, bias circuits, LDO regulators, ADC/DACs, baseband filters, modulators, power amplifiers, PLL, local oscillator generation, LNAs, and mixers. A critical aspect of this role includes delivering layouts with superior quality that clear rigorous verification steps comprising extraction, DRC, LVS, and DFM checks. Layout assessments will focus on power and ground routing integrity, electromigration resistance, signal path validations, differential and IQ matching accuracy, and minimizing unintended signal coupling.

Candidate Requirements

  • Must reside near Vancouver, BC, Canada or be willing to relocate; role may require travel within Canada.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is necessary; alternatively, three years of relevant progressive experience can compensate per year of education missing.
  • Minimum of four years' experience in Information Technology.
  • Applicants must have authorization to work in Canada without employer-specific visa sponsorship; sponsorship by Infosys is unavailable for this role.

Necessary Skills and Expertise

  • Experience with FinFET technology at N5, N3, N2 nodes or more advanced processes.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience designing custom RF or analog layouts for transceivers, with solid grounding in deep submicron CMOS processes.
  • Advanced proficiency interpreting CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS reports.
  • Expertise with CADENCE layout tools, particularly Virtuoso Layout XL.
  • Strong command of layout methodologies that enhance device matching, reduce parasitic effects, provide RF shielding, and optimize high-frequency routing.
  • Thorough knowledge of RC delay phenomena, electromigration concerns, and signal coupling effects.
  • Understanding of guard ring implementations, deep N-well, PN junction behavior, and specialized process effects such as LOD and WPE.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling effective teamwork with design engineers.

Working Conditions

The position requires prolonged sitting and computer use; candidates should also communicate efficiently via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings.

Compensation

The estimated yearly salary for this role based in British Columbia ranges between 90,450 and 136,500 CAD.
