NL Healthcare is a Maharashtra-based company specializing in medical equipment trading and comprehensive hospital turnkey projects. We provide supply and installation services for modular operation theatres (OTs), intensive care units (ICUs), central sterile supply departments (CSSDs), catheterization labs, medical gas pipeline systems, and a broad range of hospital equipment for both government and private healthcare facilities.

Role Overview

This role leads all procurement activities for our projects and trading orders, including sourcing original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors, assessing and comparing their technical and commercial proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and ensuring products comply with hospital standards. The position requires close collaboration with the tender, projects, and accounts teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Source medical devices and hospital infrastructure materials from OEMs, distributors, and suppliers.
• Issue inquiries, gather quotes, and draft comprehensive technical and commercial comparison documents.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, warranties, comprehensive maintenance contracts (CMC)/annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and payment conditions.
• Create purchase orders and monitor delivery progress until completion.
• Establish framework rate contracts with consistent vendors to control expenditure.
• Evaluate prospective vendors and OEMs for product quality, certifications (CE, ISO, CDSCO), service responsiveness, and delivery reliability.
• Maintain and regularly review an approved vendor list to ensure ongoing performance standards.
• Obtain OEM authorization letters and compliance documents necessary for tender submissions.
• Verify equipment specifications align with tender requirements and project demands.
• Prepare equipment inventories and bills of quantities (BOQs) for new hospital setups, adhering to NABH and IPHS standards.
• Support the tender team by providing specification comparisons, compliance documentation, and landed cost estimations.
• Advise the projects team on equipment selection for specialized hospital departments such as modular OTs, ICUs, and CSSDs.
• Coordinate with project teams regarding delivery timelines and site preparedness.
• Work with accounts to ensure timely vendor payments and manage advance payments.
• Maintain detailed procurement documentation, including price histories and quotation files.
• Facilitate product knowledge by arranging product training sessions from OEMs for sales, tender, projects, and service teams.
• Prepare straightforward product notes and comparative sheets to assist staff understanding.
• Organize and update brochures, catalogs, user manuals, and training resources for all products purchased.
• Collaborate with OEMs for installation, demonstrations, and hospital user training.
• Support the service team in managing breakdowns, warranty claims, and spare parts availability.
• Monitor warranty, CMC, and AMC terms for all procured items and follow up until resolution of service complaints.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biomedical Engineering (mandatory).
• Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, PGDM in Hospital Management, Operations, or Supply Chain, or a Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) will be advantageous.
• 4 to 7 years of professional experience in procurement or techno-commercial roles within a medical equipment business, hospital turnkey services provider, or hospital biomedical department.
• Strong understanding of medical equipment OEMs and familiarity with the Indian healthcare market.
• Knowledge of hospital infrastructure setups, including modular OTs, ICUs, CSSDs, and medical gas pipeline systems (MGPS).
• Working awareness of accreditation norms such as NABH and IPHS.
• Excellent negotiation and communication capabilities.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, email correspondence, and preparing comparison charts.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is required.
