Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Technician position in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan involves providing pest control services at various client locations. Primary duties include inspecting premises for signs of pest activity, accurately identifying pest species and infestation sources, and applying treatment solutions following company policies and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include preparing detailed service reports, communicating findings and recommended actions to clients, and advising on preventative measures and maintenance.
The role also requires operating and maintaining pest control equipment safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and collaborating with team members or working autonomously as needed. Helping with scheduling appointments, organizing follow-up visits, and addressing basic customer questions or concerns are also part of the job.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding field tasks such as inspecting properties, administering treatments, and handling equipment safely.
- Strong observational skills and problem-solving abilities to identify pest issues and the appropriate methods for resolution.
- Clear and professional communication skills to explain services, safety precautions, and plans effectively to clients.
- Commitment to rigorous safety standards including correct use of protective equipment and adherence to regulations, while employing eco-friendly practices.
- Capacity to operate independently, manage time well, and adjust to varying schedules and client requirements.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to enable travel throughout Saskatoon and the surrounding areas.
- Willingness to work in diverse indoor and outdoor settings and occasionally during early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
- Prior experience in pest control, property maintenance, or related disciplines is advantageous; relevant certifications or licenses are considered beneficial.
