Role Overview

The Technician in Equipment Engineering will aid manufacturing operations by keeping production machinery safe, reliable, and ready for use. The position involves conducting scheduled preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, equipment monitoring, and shift support tasks to optimize uptime and overall manufacturing effectiveness. Collaboration with engineers and specialists is key to meet production targets while upholding strict quality and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere closely to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and carry out Corrective Action System (CAS) steps as specified.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of supporting tools.
• Work 12-hour rotating shifts to support production module operations and ensure equipment readiness.
• Execute in-depth preventive maintenance according to predefined schedules and specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic issues to reduce equipment downtime.
• Assist engineers during the installation and commissioning of new or upgraded machinery.
• Utilize SPACE software for monitoring Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and comply with PR rules and CAS processes.
• Employ measurement instruments effectively for data collection purpose.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within production areas, sub-fab, offices, and maintenance support zones.
• Follow and promote safe practices, including the secure handling of tools and equipment assigned to the module.
• Provide accurate and timely communication of line issues through proper documentation and checklist filing.
• Focus on wafer scrap reduction initiatives.
• Coordinate with specialists to enhance operational efficiency and fulfill manufacturing and module goals.
• Comply with and help implement environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) policies relevant to the work scope to sustain a healthy and safe workplace.

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct all duties safely and responsibly, supporting and complying with all EHSS programs and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Microelectronics Engineering.
• Experience ranging from zero to two years in the Electrical or Electronics industry.
• Capability to perform 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Strong logical reasoning and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and reliability.
• Flexibility to support overtime requirements as needed.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, disciplined, with a commitment to quality and safety.
