Job description
Position Overview
Element Materials Technology is expanding and seeking a Technician to join the operations team in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. The role involves performing a variety of regular and specialized testing tasks with minimal supervision, focusing on delivering precise and timely test outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Calibrate and measure dimensional gauges and instruments using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), reference masters, testers on-site and in-house, including preparing reports and managing administrative duties.
- Perform scheduled routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure timely and appropriate service delivery to customers.
- Assist management in coordinating daily calibration activities in accordance with ISO17025 standards, including quality assurance, job planning, assignments, and meeting customer requirements.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management or senior staff.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational background in ITE/GCE/Diploma in Aerospace, Precision, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- Two to three years of practical experience in Quality Control/Assurance, Calibration, or Testing sectors.
- Capability to interpret technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Competence in analyzing and compiling calibration and test data.
- Desirable to have familiarity with CMM operations for two to three years.
- Knowledge of ISO17025 standards and measurement uncertainty is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills.
Physical Requirements
- Minimal to moderate physical exertion is needed.
- Capability to frequently lift items weighing less than 50 lbs and occasionally lift items over 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of 50+ lbs is required.
