Role Overview
The Technical Project Manager will lead and manage complex technical infrastructure projects, acting as a crucial link between technology teams and business stakeholders. The role involves ensuring that projects are delivered successfully on time, within budget, and according to quality standards, while managing risks and aligning with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of infrastructure project management including planning, execution, and closure ensuring project goals align with company objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, translating technical challenges into clear business terms and providing detailed project updates and dashboards.
- Work with architects and subject matter experts to develop comprehensive project plans and manage resource allocation and capacity to meet deadlines.
- Identify and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and gaps while leading agile teams and upholding governance practices.
- Drive continuous process improvements within the program and mentor team members on innovative delivery approaches.
Qualifications and Skills
- Over 10 years of experience managing software development and infrastructure delivery projects.
- In-depth technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS and GCP, with added experience in Java/J2EE and Microservices projects preferred.
- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies; familiarity with Waterfall, SAFe, or equivalent frameworks is beneficial.
- Experienced in using project management tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Power BI.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills capable of interacting effectively with both senior management and engineering teams.
- Professional certifications such as PMP or Prince2 for project management and CSM or PSM for Agile/Scrum practices are advantageous.
