Role Overview

We seek a Technical Project Manager to join our Cloud Delivery Assurance team based in Pune, India, working on a hybrid schedule with two days onsite. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Delivery Assurance, this key role involves translating our operational vision into actionable, phased delivery plans that integrate test automation and development to build automated artifact promotion pipelines and quality control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update the CDA delivery roadmap including scope definition, sequencing, milestones, and exit criteria, specifically focusing on automation, quality gates, reporting, and environment readiness.
• Lead agile practices for the team in the capacity of scrum master, conducting backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and driving ongoing improvements in delivery efficiency and predictability.
• Monitor progress against established milestones, proactively identifying risks and blockers, while providing clear options and solutions.
• Manage the cross-team dependency map covering CDA, Solutions QA, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and application teams to ensure alignment to deadlines and ownership.
• Coordinate release and promotion workflows across development, integration, staging, and production environments, encompassing certification schedules, test trains, freeze windows, and gate reviews.
• Collaborate with Solutions QA on comprehensive end-to-end functional testing and release sign-offs; work with SRE to plan scale, high availability, disaster recovery, and chaos test cycles ensuring timely results for promotion decisions.
• Prepare and facilitate release-readiness and go/no-go reviews, documenting decisions, risk acceptances, and ensuring traceability of gate evidence.
• Maintain dashboards and status reports reflecting milestone health, automation coverage, defect trends, environment status, and release readiness for engineering leadership.
• Uphold strong program hygiene in Jira and related tools including epics, dependencies, capacity planning, estimation accuracy, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvements in team workflows, leveraging AI-assisted tools for planning, reporting, and status automation, while documenting decisions and action plans.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 7 years of experience in technical project or program management within software engineering, with a minimum of 3 years focusing on cloud, SaaS, platform, or QA/automation domains.
• Proven capabilities as a scrum master or agile lead, experienced in managing backlogs, sprints, and dependencies across multiple coordinated workstreams.
• Strong technical understanding of Kubernetes, Linux, cloud infrastructure, continuous integration/delivery pipelines, and test automation to assess pipelines, quality gates, and estimates critically.
• Demonstrated ability to handle cross-team dependencies and coordinate release activities among QA, SRE, DevOps, and development teams across multiple locations and time zones.
• Experience setting delivery milestones and reporting on project status, risks, and quality metrics to senior engineering leadership.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and dashboarding tools, emphasizing automation of status updates and reporting.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills to ensure team accountability and engagement.
• Skilled in structured problem-solving amidst ambiguous scenarios and capable of establishing processes for newly formed teams.
• Knowledge of release engineering practices such as artifact promotion, environment certifications, canary/progressive delivery strategies, and rollback procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical discipline. Certifications like Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), PMP, or SAFe are advantageous.
