About the Team
The Trust & Safety (T&S) GenAI & Emerging Product team at TikTok is dedicated to supporting the advancement of Generative AI models and applications. Our goal is to develop a premier safety, testing, and risk management framework that guarantees the responsible launch of GenAI innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of content safety for TikTok's GenAI products, coordinating efforts across Product, Engineering, Algorithms, Policy, and Operations teams.
- Develop and expand automated safety evaluation pipelines, and formulate strong, future-oriented safety strategies for GenAI offerings and new feature rollouts.
- Analyze data, model outputs, and user feedback to proactively identify, rank, and mitigate safety risks, thereby enhancing system efficiency and fostering user trust at scale.
- Manage complex technical initiatives spanning multiple teams, including defining roadmaps, handling dependencies, overseeing execution, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Provide strategic guidance by clarifying ambiguous challenges, making thoughtful trade-offs, and aligning stakeholders without formal authority.
- Utilize AI technologies such as large language models, AI-assisted coding, and automation workflows to speed up development and strengthen the resilience of safety systems.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Technical Program Management, AI or ML product development, or related technical roles in dynamic environments.
- Practical experience with AI tools and systems, including prompt engineering, AI-augmented development, or agent-based workflows.
- Proven track record of leading and successfully delivering complex, interdisciplinary technical programs with strong ownership and execution discipline.
- Familiarity with Generative AI architectures, large language models, and notable safety or alignment challenges.
Preferred: Strong intuition for product and data with an ability to break down ambiguous problems and create measurable solutions focused on outcomes.

This position involves interacting with content that may include images, videos, and texts related to everyday scenarios, as well as sensitive topics such as bullying, hate speech, child safety, and depictions of self-harm, harm to others, or animals. Consequently, this role may be exposed daily to distressing and harmful material.
