About the Role
Join a leading global financial services firm as a Technical Product Manager, focused on enhancing the market intelligence and analytics functionalities that support a sophisticated trading platform. This role acts as the liaison between trading, risk, operations, and technology teams, transforming their data requirements into a strategic and actionable product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize the product roadmap and backlog for market intelligence and analytics data solutions.
- Convert the needs of trading, market data, risk, and operational teams into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to develop capabilities in data ingestion, normalization, enrichment, data lineage, observability, and reporting.
- Establish and track performance indicators related to product adoption, data quality, system reliability, operational performance, and cost effectiveness.
- Engage with producers, consumers, architecture, security, and compliance stakeholders to effectively communicate trade-offs and delivery risks.
- Evaluate both internal needs and available external data technologies to guide strategic investment decisions.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a technical product manager in data platforms, analytics, trading technology, market data, or enterprise technology contexts.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of pipelines, APIs, ETL/ELT processes, data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud computing environments.
- Demonstrated strength in backlog management, prioritization, and delivering products while articulating technical decisions in business terms.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, data professionals, and senior business stakeholders.
Additional Considerations
Experience with trading platforms, pricing models, risk management, data governance, metadata management, entitlement systems, or data quality initiatives will be advantageous. This position is especially suitable for a product manager familiar with data platforms who understands the critical role of analytics products in regulated trading environments.
