About the Role
Join WSP in Auckland as a Technical Principal within our Water Asset Management team. This senior leadership position offers the chance to provide expert guidance in water asset management, focusing on enhancing asset performance, resilience, investment planning, and regulatory compliance. You'll engage with diverse clients across New Zealand's water sector and contribute to groundbreaking projects that protect our cities and environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead water asset management services covering strategy, planning, lifecycle management, investment, risk, resilience, asset performance, and information management.
- Develop and sustain trusted advisor relationships with clients and regulated suppliers within the water industry.
- Support business growth initiatives through contributions to client engagement and proposals.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives that elevate WSP's visibility and reputation in the water management market.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with professional registration or formal accreditation.
- Brings at least 15 years of professional experience in asset management, water services, utilities, or consulting roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing water supply and/or wastewater assets.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 55000/55001 standards and asset management system methodologies.
- Good knowledge of New Zealand’s water sector reforms, drivers, and information disclosure duties.
- Proven capability to collaborate effectively with clients, senior leaders, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Holds a current clean driver’s license.
