Role Overview

The Technical Office Engineer position is a full-time onsite role located in Dubai. The engineer will be responsible for delivering technical MEP support and managing documentation for current projects. Core duties include the preparation and review of shop drawings, coordination between design and site teams, and guaranteeing adherence to project specs and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and examine shop drawings to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Prepare and update Bill of Quantities (BOQs), assist in quantity take-offs, and support quantity surveying efforts.
• Collaborate with civil and electrical engineering teams to resolve technical queries and maintain thorough project records.
• Support planning, scheduling, and reporting activities that aid smooth project workflow.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a technical office or engineering capacity within the construction sector, ideally within Dubai or the GCC.
• Strong expertise in preparing and reviewing shop drawings.
• Proficiency with BOQ preparation and quantity take-off processes supporting cost control and quantity surveying functions.
• Knowledgeable in civil engineering construction methods, materials, and standards.
• Familiarity with electrical engineering principles applied to buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in CAD software and well-versed in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and coordination capabilities with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of written and spoken English; additional language skills are considered advantageous.
