About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Lead specializing in Power Electronics to guide the design, development, testing, and validation of Power Electronics and Battery Management Systems (BMS) from inception through production. This position is based in Bangalore and requires between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience specifically in Power Electronics and BMS.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the architecture, specifications, monitoring, and protection systems of Rack BMS.
- Design architectures for sensing cell voltage, temperature, and current, as well as strategies for cell balancing.
- Lead development of SMPS, non-isolated converters, MOSFET/IGBT devices, gate drivers, PWM circuits, and feedback loops.
- Work on SMART BMS/HVBMS systems, AFEs, CMUs, switching MOSFET selection, and address EMI/EMC considerations.
- Review schematics, PCB layouts, component footprints, and CAM files thoroughly.
- Oversee prototype development, debugging, validation, and certification processes.
- Create and maintain communication interfaces including CAN/CAN FD, RS485, and Modbus RTU.
- Collaborate with EMS, PCS, inverter, and cross-functional teams; support technical discussions with customers.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive expertise in SMPS and non-isolated converter topologies.
- Practical knowledge of MOSFET, IGBT, diodes, gate drivers, PWM controllers, analog/digital circuits, and opto-isolators.
- Strong experience with SMART BMS/HVBMS and BMS for energy storage systems, telecommunications, or automotive applications.
- Familiarity with AFE, CMU, component selection, including derating and lifetime calculations.
- Proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout review, EMI/EMC mitigation, and debugging techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of rack BMS, master BMS, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) implementations.
- Good command of technical documentation preparation, project planning, and product test procedure development.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical disciplines.
Additional Information
The role requires hands-on leadership in both design and technical collaboration with multiple teams. The annual remuneration range is between 1,000,000 to 1,600,000 INR.
