Role Overview

As the Technical Lead for Applications, you will have end-to-end accountability for the core application architecture linking AI systems to user-facing experiences. Your responsibilities include designing, maintaining reliability, and advancing backend services, APIs, and client-side integrations for both mobile and desktop platforms.

This is a leadership role that demands direct involvement with the codebase, critical architectural decisions, and maintaining system performance, reliability, and coherence as it scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive the application engineering roadmap and delivery across backend, mobile, and desktop domains.
• Lead and mentor a focused team of senior engineers skilled in backend, mobile, and desktop development.
• Guarantee production-grade stability through comprehensive observability, monitoring, retry mechanisms, fallback strategies, and error handling.
• Define and enforce architectural standards for AI-driven workflows, APIs, and client integrations.
• Integrate AI features with clear abstractions that ensure predictable system behavior and smooth failure management.
• Collaborate closely with Machine Learning leadership to transform AI model capabilities into viable, deployable product features.
• Make strategic, impactful choices balancing latency, cost, system reliability, security, and user satisfaction.
• Foster a performance-driven culture with thorough code and design reviews and active, hands-on guidance.
• Prepare systems for production with attention to observability, privacy, cost controls, and fail-safes.
• Achieve rapid shipping cycles without sacrificing system integrity and long-term quality.
