About the Role
The Technical Content Specialist position at OXID eSales AG, based in Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, involves creating and refining comprehensive technical content focused on the OXID eShop platform. The successful candidate will have a strong software development background and an aptitude for translating complex technical information into accessible formats for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop practical examples, demo setups, and detailed technical guides for the OXID eShop system.
- Perform installation, testing, and analysis of OXID systems and extensions to effectively communicate their functionalities.
- Create and continuously improve technical documentation, tutorials, short videos, and presentations explaining core concepts.
- Generate and maintain content related to OXID eShop modules, APIs, and facilitate organized, efficient content delivery.
- Collaborate closely with both technical teams and commercial departments.
- Provide technical support for new features and software releases, ensuring clear comprehension for developers, partners, and customers.
- Build and enhance a structured knowledge base for developers, partners, and clients, integrating new media and modern tools.
- Engage in professional discourse with clients and partners about technical matters.
- Leverage contemporary technologies, including AI-based tools, to improve the efficiency of creating technical materials.
Requirements
- Fluent proficiency in German (C1 level) and good English language skills.
- Work authorization to be employed in Germany is mandatory.
- Experience in software development, preferably with PHP, MySQL, and Symfony frameworks.
- Strong technical understanding and enthusiasm for explaining intricate topics clearly.
- Prior familiarity with OXID eShop or comparable e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical content through written, visual, or video formats.
- Organized and independent working style coupled with a team-oriented mindset.
