Veovo boasts over 25 years of expertise delivering specialized airport software solutions through a talented workforce. The company is currently seeking a skilled Technical Consultant to join their expanding team in Auckland, New Zealand, working within the Service Delivery department on a permanent full-time basis, fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify software programs according to project requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for codebases and user guides.
- Manage the installation and upgrades of internal systems, including overseeing project tasks.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes for software and operational procedures.
- Deliver training sessions to customers on software use and functionalities.
- Analyze requirements from customers or new product initiatives and author detailed specifications.
- Provide 24-hour on-call support on a rostered basis to resolve issues promptly.
- Mentor and guide junior team members fostering technical expertise within the group.
- Promote and uphold best technical practices within the team environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Background in application support or a technical consultancy role.
- Proficiency with standard software tools such as Microsoft Office, drawing applications, and operating systems.
- Experience in object-oriented programming languages and familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
- Understanding of AI-driven software development approaches.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Knowledge of SQL is highly advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities combined with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills including humor and common sense.
- Prior knowledge of airport operational procedures would be considered a benefit.
