Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Development Manager to spearhead our software development team, ensuring the delivery of top-tier technological solutions on schedule. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, communication prowess, project coordination skills, and a solid technical foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and provide mentorship to the development team.
- Plan, prioritize, and supervise ongoing development projects.
- Manage all phases of application/product lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Guarantee timely delivery of projects meeting scope and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, product teams, and cross-functional departments.
- Analyze technical requirements to devise and implement effective development strategies.
- Identify potential technical challenges and mitigate project risks.
- Monitor project milestones, performance metrics, timelines, and deliverables.
- Enforce software development best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team environment.
- Oversee rigorous testing, debugging, and quality control measures.
- Generate periodic project status reports for senior management.
- Ensure applications are secure, scalable, high-performing, and maintainable.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in software or application development over multiple years.
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills paired with problem-solving competence.
- Successful background in team leadership and personnel management.
- Effective project planning and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication along with interpersonal abilities.
- Experience working with prevalent programming languages, frameworks, databases, and development environments.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge and practical experience with Agile and Scrum practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and version control tools.
- Utilization of project management and monitoring software.
- Expertise in designing scalable, secure architectural solutions.
- Exposure to automation and innovative emerging technologies.
