Technical Co-ordinator, Studio Productions

Role Overview

The Technical Co-ordinator is essential in maintaining the seamless operation of studio environments, including sets and equipment, to support the production of News & Current Affairs programs and news bulletins broadcast across Mediacorp channels.

Key Duties

• Oversee the complete functionality of studios, ensuring readiness and smooth operation for live News & Current Affairs productions.
• Support Automation Directors by managing tasks related to the execution of daily news bulletins and current affairs shows in both automated and traditional gallery setups.
• Collaborate closely with Producers, Automation Directors, and Graphic Designers to satisfy technical and operation needs during live broadcasts, ensuring editorial goals are fulfilled while upholding top production standards.
• Acquire and apply skills with emerging tools and technologies to maintain high-quality production output.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous relevant experience in live production environments is preferred, especially with platforms such as Vizrt, EVS, Mosart, Lawo, and Yamaha audio mixers.
• Educational background: Minimum Nitec or Higher Nitec in Video Production, or Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Audio Engineering, or equivalent.
• Training opportunities available for fresh graduates.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Excellent organizational and project management capabilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to meet production needs.
