Job Overview
The Technical Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and supplying spare parts, as well as identifying repair capabilities of local repair companies to support aviation maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely fulfillment of parts and accessory requirements.
- Assist technicians by processing their parts orders and sourcing items efficiently.
- Advise on additional related parts and accessories necessary for repair jobs.
- Conduct hands-on testing of equipment and vehicles after servicing, including engines, gearboxes, steering, brakes, and instruments.
- Provide detailed cost information for parts on repair orders.
- Inform service personnel promptly when special or back-ordered parts arrive.
- Verify that parts and repairs align with manufacturer specifications and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of secondary education (12 years) with a mandatory recognized mechanical course.
- A minimum of four years' experience in maintenance and repair of mechanical assemblies, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Strong communication abilities across various channels such as email and phone.
