Job description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect specializing in Informatica DEI/BDM with 10 to 15+ years of expertise, to lead architecture and solution design initiatives within the Data Lakehouse domain. The role is based in Jeddah and requires comprehensive knowledge of data integration patterns, real-time processing, and enterprise data governance, primarily serving the BFSI sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and enforce the overall Informatica DEI/BDM architecture consistent with Data Lakehouse strategies.
- Develop enterprise data integration designs for batch, micro-batch, and real-time workflows.
- Set architecture standards, reusable components, and best practices for development and operational teams.
- Review and approve technical documentation including designs, mappings, workflows, and deployment plans.
- Design and manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines across different data lakehouse layers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and downstream FS-LDM/FSAS.
- Architect scalable ETL/ELT solutions supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Lead governance of Informatica DEI, BDM, Blaze Engine, and Spark-based processing frameworks.
- Define coding, deployment, and performance standards; mentor development teams and conduct architecture reviews.
- Implement real-time and near real-time data integration using Informatica PowerExchange, CDC, Kafka, and event-driven patterns ensuring low latency and resiliency.
- Design execution frameworks on Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop, and Spark with optimization for distributed processing and workload management.
- Ensure proper metadata management, lineage tracking, impact analysis, and adherence to data governance policies.
- Optimize performance for mappings, workflows, and Spark jobs guaranteeing scalability and 24x7 operational support.
- Architect seamless integration with Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, APIs, and messaging services while optimizing source and target data flows.
- Conduct assessments of current Informatica implementations to identify gaps and lead modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, data architects, engineers, Cloudera platform teams, and business stakeholders, actively participating in governance and technical leadership, including managing onsite and offshore teams.
Required Experience & Skills
- Over 10 years of Informatica experience with deep knowledge of DEI, BDM, PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and Metadata Manager.
- Expertise in CDC and real-time ingestion architectures.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies: Cloudera Data Platform, Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Hive, HDFS, Kafka.
- Proficiency in Data Lakehouse concepts including Bronze, Silver, Gold layer design, metadata-driven architecture, data modeling, and governance frameworks.
- Strong background in database technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, and SQL Server with performance tuning skills.
- Competence in enterprise integration architecture, ETL/ELT pattern design, real-time processing, capacity planning, and high availability solutions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD integration.
- Domain expertise in Banking and Financial Services including regulatory reporting, customer, finance, risk, and treasury data.
- Experience with FSLDM and FSAS is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Informatica professional or architect certifications.
- Exposure to large-scale banking Data Lakehouse programs and hybrid onsite-offshore project delivery models.
- Understanding of Data Vault, Medallion Architecture, and Enterprise Data Warehousing.
