Technical Account Manager - OpenShift

Job Overview

Red Hat is seeking an experienced Technical Account Manager (TAM) specialized in OpenShift to join their Technical Services team in Saudi Arabia. This role involves collaborating with key enterprise clients to provide hands-on technical and architectural guidance regarding the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture relationships with business and IT stakeholders to become a trusted expert on each customer's implementation and understand their primary business objectives.
• Conduct technical reviews to proactively identify issues and share best practices to prevent problems.
• Alert customers to anticipated technology changes or potential service disruptions and recommend mitigation approaches.
• Provide strategic advice on current and upcoming Red Hat products.
• Troubleshoot and escalate technical issues with both Red Hat teams and customer personnel as needed.
• Analyze operational performance and present regular reviews to customer leadership teams.
• Manage use cases and maintain comprehensive documentation on customer cases and engagements.
• Design and update customer engagement plans and environment documentation.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships by delivering attentive, relationship-focused support and serving as their advocate within Red Hat.
• Contribute internally by sharing knowledge, mentoring, participating in projects, and serving as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate closely with Red Hat's Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to address and resolve issues.
• Travel regionally as necessary to visit customers and attend events.
• Rapidly acquire knowledge on new technologies related to container orchestration, registries, build strategies, and microservices architectures.
• Align with Red Hat's cloud technology strategies and contribute to solution development based on customer input.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure positive cloud technology adoption and successful enterprise outcomes.
• Communicate how Red Hat's cloud offerings and roadmap correspond to customer needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in support, development, engineering, or quality assurance roles.
• Proficiency with enterprise cloud technologies, including Platform-as-a-Service (OpenShift), containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat CloudForms, and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Capability to manage and expand enterprise customer relationships through proactive and relationship-based support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical complexities clearly.
• Good understanding of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
• Experience working with a variety of hardware vendors.
• Additional desirable qualifications include system management, cloud/server virtualization experience, a bachelor's degree in technology-related fields (computer science or engineering preferred), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) credential, prior leadership or mentorship roles, presentation and training delivery skills, and proficiency in French communication.
