About the Role

Begin your day as part of a vibrant café team, contributing to a welcoming environment for customers. As a café Team Member, your role blends light cooking, customer engagement, and maintaining high standards, ensuring each dish served meets menu promises and safety requirements. You'll also ensure cleanliness of kitchen tools and customer areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are kept clean and orderly.
• Serve customers promptly, efficiently, and with care to deliver excellent service.
• Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining accurate daily records.
• Implement first in, first out (FIFO) stock management to keep food fresh.
• Receive deliveries, safely storing food items appropriately.
• Conform to all Tesco operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare, cook, and serve food according to the café’s menu standards.
• Maintain high standards ensuring availability and quality of all food products.
• Be knowledgeable about the menu and serve food as intended.
• Address customer complaints effectively and communicate issues to the Café Manager.
• Stay informed with business communications and new initiatives.
• Clear and sanitize tables to maintain café cleanliness.
