About the Role and Company
Join The Wonderfield Group, a leader in authentic Japanese cuisine, known for pioneering a conveyor belt sushi experience with color-coded dishes since 1997. Operating over 70 locations globally and supplying many UK supermarkets with grocery and pre-pack sushi items, the company is seeking passionate individuals to enhance its Aberdeen Union Square operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Display a genuine passion for exceptional food and collaborate with like-minded colleagues.
- Execute diverse kitchen duties including food prep, cleaning, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards compliant with health regulations.
- Apply a solid understanding of fresh ingredients and culinary techniques pertinent to a quick-service restaurant environment.
- Manage inventory to monitor stock levels and minimize waste effectively.
- Help set up, maintain, hand over, and close workstations each shift to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete all mandatory training to ensure a safe working environment for teammates and customers.
- Possess strong knowledge of product specifications to uphold menu quality standards.
- Perform a variety of tasks such as sushi rolling, working the pass, handling the hot food section, prepping raw ingredients, and adhering to Food Safety protocols and company procedures including the Trail app.
- Be an engaged team player, supporting the overall YO! team dynamics and staying informed via team meetings and information briefs.

Additional Information
Location: Aberdeen Union Square.
Contract Type: Full Time.
Salary: £12.71 per hour.
Contracted Hours: 20 hours per week.
