Job description
Overview
As a member of the management team, the Team Leader supports the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the everyday retail store functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee store associates providing leadership and support.
- Manage merchandising, including shelf stocking and handling daily shipments.
- Ensure top-level customer service standards are consistently delivered.
- Carry out manager-on-duty obligations such as overseeing breaks, attendance, and time.
- Implement and uphold visual merchandising standards across the store.
- Promptly resolve customer complaints and address issues.
- Maintain a safe and clean store environment.
- Handle cash procedures as well as opening and closing activities when necessary.
- Contribute to inventory management and staff training initiatives.
- Follow up on delegated assignments and support recruitment and performance evaluation processes.
Qualification Requirements
- At least one year of experience working in a retail setting.
- Between one and two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Aspirations for career advancement within the organization.
- Availability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Strong communication abilities paired with leadership skills.
- Capability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
