Merchandiser

Role Overview

The Merchandiser will be responsible for visiting a set roster of 75 stores monthly, with daily visits ranging from eight to ten locations. The core focus is on executing and upholding visual merchandising standards including planograms, brand blocks, hero SKU placements, customer transaction units (CTUs), free-standing units (FSUs), gondola end displays, and point of sale materials (POSM).

Key Duties

• Conduct monthly visits to all allocated stores ensuring merchandising compliance and optimal visual presentation.
• Perform detailed shelf-share and competitor audits during each visit to monitor market positioning.
• Promptly identify and communicate stock outages (OOS SKUs), competitor activity, and any displacements affecting the brand.
• Capture and upload photographic evidence of shelf conditions and submit detailed daily and weekly reports to the Key Account Manager (KAM).
• Collaborate with the Key Account Executive (KAE) on inventory replenishment to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Deliver concise product knowledge sessions to store personnel to support sales and brand visibility.
• Assist with seasonal and promotional visual displays, including festive decor and sampling events.
• Maintain cleanliness and attractiveness of shelves and brand collateral ensuring shopper engagement.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses 1 to 3 years of experience in areas such as Visual Merchandising, Field Sales, FMCG, Beauty, Skincare, Pharmacy, or Retail sectors.
• Has a keen eye for detail especially regarding visual setups and planogram fidelity.
• Able and willing to conduct extensive field travel with multiple daily store visits.
• Proficient with basic Excel functions, mobile-based WhatsApp reporting, and mobile photography.
• Familiarity with skincare or dermocosmetic products is desirable.
• Experience working with pharmacy or modern trade outlets is considered advantageous.
• Preferably owns a two-wheeler along with a valid driving license to facilitate travel.
