Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Tealium Implementation Specialist with extensive hands-on experience in tag management and digital analytics implementations. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Tealium iQ and possess a strong understanding of both client-side and server-side tracking methods. This role involves designing, deploying, validating, and optimizing tracking solutions across various digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Tealium iQ Tag Management frameworks on web and digital applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot third-party marketing and analytics tags, including those used for advertising, conversion tracking, and audience measurement.
- Build and enhance custom JavaScript tracking solutions, extensions, and data layers.
- Work collaboratively with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective tracking implementations.
- Implement data layers according to specifications and ensure compliance with tracking standards.
- Support server-side tracking initiatives utilizing Tealium EventStream and AudienceStream platforms when relevant.
- Conduct comprehensive QA, debug issues, and validate analytics implementations thoroughly.
- Monitor the accuracy and integrity of data, identifying problems and suggesting improvements.
- Optimize tag deployment practices to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Produce and update technical documentation, user guides, and design documents.
- Assist in consent management implementations aligned with privacy requirements.
- Keep informed about advancements in digital analytics, tag management, customer data platforms, and relevant privacy laws.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in digital analytics implementation or tag management.
- Proficiency with Tealium iQ Tag Management.
- Experience in deploying third-party marketing and analytics tags.
- Strong JavaScript skills, including DOM manipulation, event handling, and debugging.
- Familiarity with browser developer tools and tag debugging utilities.
- Good understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, cookies, local storage, and web browser behaviors.
- Knowledge of digital analytics platforms like Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, or Matomo.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Tealium EventStream and AudienceStream.
- Familiarity with server-side tagging and API integrations.
- Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).
- Awareness of consent management platforms and compliance with privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and other local regulations.
- Experience using SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Exposure to cloud environments and data warehousing technologies.
- Relevant certifications in Tealium or digital analytics.
