Overview

Moore is a prominent Irish provider of accountancy and advisory solutions dedicated to ambitious enterprises demanding exceptional client service standards and expertise. Our expanding tax department invites applications for a Tax Manager to join our team, with office location options including Cork, Galway, Dublin, and Dun Laoghaire. This role focuses on delivering top-tier tax consultancy services to a varied clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering expert tax consultancy and advisory services to clients representing numerous industries.
  • Designing and executing tax planning strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive tax planning reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with other departments and external professional advisors to offer integrated tax consulting.
  • Conducting detailed tax research while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of tax law updates.
  • Providing training and mentorship to junior staff members.
  • Overseeing and evaluating the work produced by junior personnel.
  • Managing tax-related consultancy projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Identifying new business prospects and contributing to business development initiatives.
  • Supporting the management of the tax department’s workload, including work-in-progress, client billing, debt collection, and fee management.
  • Handling additional professional tax and accounting duties as they arise based on client assignments.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Possession of a CTA tax qualification is required.
  • An accounting qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated strong technical expertise across multiple tax areas.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience providing tax consultancy and advisory services.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of professionals.
  • Excellent skills in project management.
  • Advanced proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Effective delegation capabilities with experience overseeing and reviewing the tax team and other firm departments.
