Role Summary
This full-time, on-site role based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, forms part of a talent pool to be considered for a variety of future positions within operations, warehousing, administration, customer service, and logistics coordination. Daily tasks may involve supporting warehouse and handling operations, assisting with documentation and customs-related processes, coordinating transport and supply chain schedules, and ensuring accurate record maintenance following company standards. Members also facilitate communication between internal teams and clients, contribute towards ongoing process improvements, and uphold safety and compliance policies. The role demands flexibility, eagerness to learn, and the capability to adapt to varying assignments as organizational needs evolve.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities, such as attention to detail, time management, and meticulous record-keeping.
- Effective customer service and communication skills, including clear verbal and written interactions and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations, including warehousing, transport coordination, and familiarity with customs or shipping documents.
- Teamwork and collaboration proficiency, capable of working safely and efficiently in an on-site operational setting.
- Adaptability and problem-solving aptitude, with openness to learning new functions and supporting various departments as required.
- Educational background in logistics, business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, or comparable operational roles within Tanzania or similar markets is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; Swahili language skills are considered beneficial. Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and office software, are expected.
