About the Role
This position, titled Cluster Talent & Culture (T&C) Manager, supports a range of Talent & Culture functions across Rosewood’s New Zealand hotels. The role is anchored at one property—currently Cape Kidnappers in Hawke’s Bay—but also provides remote backing to other locations such as Rosewood Kauri Cliffs and Rosewood Matakauri. The position reports primarily to the Cluster Director of Talent & Culture and secondarily to the Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Talent & Culture activities such as employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, predominantly at the base property.
- Offer remote support for similar functions across other properties within the cluster.
- Occasionally travel to various locations for operational support or special projects.
- Manage and implement training and development programs aimed at operational goals and corporate standards across all supported properties.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and assist in conflict resolution and employee relations matters within scope.
- Handle recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for the base property and assist other sites remotely.
- Support performance and talent management efforts both onsite and via remote guidance.
- Maintain Talent & Culture administrative records and ensure compliance with New Zealand employment legislation.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Talent & Culture, focusing on areas such as training, development, and employee engagement, preferably in multi-site hospitality operations.
- Strong understanding of New Zealand employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel between properties as needed.
- Availability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week on a rostered basis.
Work Location and Travel
The role is based at one Rosewood property with flexibility to move among locations according to business needs, providing primarily remote support to additional sites. Travel requirements are occasional, driven by operational demands or special initiatives.
