Talent Acquisition Partner

About the Role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong (SJ) Group, is seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Partner to join their team in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This position is integral to expanding business operations across Buildings & Cities, Infrastructure & Energy, and Integrated Solutions within the Pacific region, serving Surbana Jurong’s global growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers and other stakeholders to provide expert recruitment support across PNG and the wider Pacific region.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including candidate sourcing, talent mapping, interview coordination, reference and compliance verification, and employment offer management.
• Develop and sustain strong internal and external client relationships, earning trust through reliable and effective talent acquisition partnerships.
• Organize recruitment activities with a focus on efficiency and strong stakeholder engagement.
• Conduct negotiations to reach mutually beneficial agreements while enhancing the company’s employer brand within the market.
• Document and implement recruitment strategies and programs with thoughtful planning and marketing.
• Utilize effective verbal and written communication to address recruitment challenges and offer sound problem resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field is required.
• Minimum of five years’ experience delivering comprehensive recruitment services including stakeholder management within the professional services sector.
