Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drafting for roads, highways, and civil infrastructure.
- Prepare construction-level documentation meeting project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with SMEC and client drafting standards and quality assurance processes.
- Deliver drawing outputs adhering to project deadlines and milestones.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary team efforts for integrated design delivery.
- Maintain drawing data within Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise.
- Conduct thorough review and quality checks of drawings.
- Contribute to continuous enhancements in digital drafting and delivery methods.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be meticulous and proficient with substantial experience in transport infrastructure, particularly roads and highways. Strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset are fundamental.
Qualifications & Experience
- Between 3 to 7 years of drafter experience focused on roads, highways, civil or infrastructure projects.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Experience producing detailed design and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of drafting standards, quality assurance, and model coordination.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Effective communicator with a cooperative approach.
Familiarity with digital delivery platforms and multidisciplinary teamwork is advantageous, as is knowledge of Austroads standards and major transport infrastructure documentation.
