Role Summary

The Systems Engineer, specifically focused on Pre-Sales Engineering, plays a pivotal role in driving technical strategies and supporting revenue growth throughout the sales cycle. This position demands a seasoned professional with extensive cybersecurity or enterprise technology expertise who is passionate about problem solving and delivering outstanding customer service. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally to align Forescout’s innovative solutions with client requirements, thereby facilitating adoption and long-term value.

Primary Responsibilities

• Educate customers and partners on Forescout's cutting-edge security technologies and the current cyber threat environment.
• Establish strong consultative partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor who connects solutions to business and technical goals.
• Identify security challenges within customer infrastructures and communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive management.
• Clearly present Forescout's value propositions, product strategies, and roadmaps to diverse audiences from engineers to senior leaders.
• Conduct technical demonstrations and presentations, both virtually and onsite, alongside the sales team.
• Provide technical escalation support, serving as a liaison between sales, support, and engineering to ensure successful issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Drive pre-sales activities by identifying, qualifying opportunities, and supporting deals through to closure.
• Collaborate and enable channel partners within a channel-centric sales framework.
• Manage and optimize proof-of-concept (POC) projects, including preparing test plans, configuring systems, and troubleshooting during evaluations.
• Develop POC environments and configurations aligned with sales goals and available resources.
• Ensure ongoing learning and certification achievement in specialized Forescout technologies and platforms.

Requirements and Experience

• A minimum of eight years in the IT sector, including at least five years in pre-sales or technical consulting roles.
• Genuine enthusiasm for cybersecurity solutions, hands-on testing, and active customer engagement.
• Strong technical acumen, excellent verbal presentation skills, and proficient written communication.
• Ability to work cooperatively across geographically dispersed teams in a global organization.
• Highly motivated, detail-focused, and committed to customer satisfaction with a strong work ethic.
• Proven skill in translating complex requirements into optimized, user-centered solutions.
• Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
