Role Overview
The Survey Engineer is tasked with overseeing and executing all surveying operations crucial for precise alignment, positioning, and geometric control in tunneling and construction projects. This professional ensures the accurate guidance of tunnel boring machines (TBMs), validates tunnel alignment, and confirms breakthrough precision for twin bored tunnels according to design criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate TBM guidance systems for accurate tunnel excavation.
- Verify tunnel alignment and maintain breakthrough accuracy for twin bored tunnels.
- Conduct convergence monitoring and set out cross passages with precision.
- Continuously assess tunnel geometry to uphold strict spatial control throughout excavation.
- Analyze survey data critically to detect deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with construction and engineering teams to ensure consistent survey quality.
