PTW Coordinator

Job Purpose

Manage and coordinate the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system at the project location, ensuring all high-risk tasks receive proper authorization and are conducted following project HSE guidelines and client standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and administer the site's Permit-to-Work procedures for relevant activities.
• Examine PTW applications for completeness and verify all necessary approvals prior to commencement of work.
• Manage permits related to electrical tasks, hot work, excavation, confined spaces, work at heights, lifting operations, isolation/Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), and other high-risk duties.
• Confirm that each permit includes corresponding risk assessments, method statements, job safety analyses, and associated documentation.
• Ensure required isolations, barricades, personal protective equipment, and control methods are implemented before issuing permits.
• Collaborate with Permit Issuers, Receivers, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Construction, and Operations teams.
• Keep updated records of PTW registers, monitoring permit status, validity periods, suspensions, and closures.
• Perform regular on-site inspections to verify compliance with granted permits and their conditions.
• Manage permit suspensions, extensions, or closures as needed.
• Prevent any unauthorized work and promptly escalate any PTW breaches or hazardous conditions.
• Provide PTW training sessions and refresher briefings to applicable site personnel.
• Maintain detailed PTW documentation for audit purposes and management reviews.
• Assist with PTW audits and suggest enhancements to improve the permit system.
• Ensure all activities comply with company, client, and Saudi Arabia regulatory HSE requirements.
