Role Overview
Fyfe is inviting applications for the position of Survey Assistant to join their Brisbane survey team. This opportunity is well-suited for individuals aiming to launch a career in surveying by gaining hands-on experience alongside experienced surveyors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support surveyors in conducting field surveying and set-out activities.
- Carry out basic surveying tasks appropriate to your experience while adhering to Fyfe's quality standards.
- Assist in organizing equipment and preparing for upcoming fieldwork.
- Maintain survey equipment, vehicles, and company assets in a safe, clean, and proper state.
- Complete survey documentation with clarity and accuracy.
- Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and team discussions as needed.
- Communicate project updates to surveyors and project teams.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a current manual driver's license.
- Strong interest in building a career in surveying, construction, or the spatial industry.
- Eager to learn and enhance technical competencies.
- Capable of working independently and taking responsibility for assigned duties.
- Comfortable working outdoors under various environmental conditions.
- Available and willing to travel and stay away from home for extended periods if required.
