About the Opportunity

Carepro Disability Services is growing its team in Benalla and is on the lookout for enthusiastic, dependable, and lively Disability Support Workers dedicated to assisting four children in unique support situations.

Role Overview

You will deliver tailored assistance aligned with each child's individual requirements and NDIS objectives. The support tasks include:

• Developing capacity and everyday life skills
• Encouraging community engagement and participation
• Facilitating enjoyable, age-appropriate activities
• Promoting independence, self-confidence, and choice
• Adhering to personalized support and behavior guidance plans
• Maintaining safe, consistent, and person-centered assistance

Both morning and afternoon shifts are offered, with an emphasis on providing ongoing, reliable availability to ensure consistency.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certifications
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain before starting
• Previous experience supporting children and/or young people
• Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities
• Ability to adhere to support plans, organizational policies, and maintain professional boundaries

Candidates We're Seeking

Ideal candidates are engaging, patient, lively, and eager to actively participate in activities that assist children in skill-building rather than merely performing tasks on their behalf. A significant emphasis is placed on enhancing independence and capacity.

Experience working with children who have disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, or behavioral challenges will be highly valued.

Additional Information

Currently, four children require support within the Benalla region, providing opportunities for committed workers to secure steady and ongoing hours as part of the local team.
