Role Overview
We are expanding our team by hiring qualified care workers to assist clients throughout the week. The position focuses on enabling clients to maintain their independence and safety within their homes and communities. This practical role involves aiding with personal care tasks, daily living activities, and fostering genuine relationships, all directed by established care plans and supported through an attentive administrative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care assistance, such as help with showering and dressing.
- Offering social support and assisting with everyday household tasks.
- Conducting light domestic duties including vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning.
- Reporting any changes in client conditions or concerns to care coordinators promptly.
- Developing respectful and professional relationships with clients.
Work Details
The role involves serving clients located in Adelaide's Western Suburbs including Henley Beach, Grange, Seaton, Findon, Fulham, West Lakes, Woodville, Torrensville, Plympton, and nearby areas. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Employment may be either permanent or casual, subject to discussion.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is compassionate and committed to supporting others, with experience in community support services. Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client care are essential.
Required Qualifications and Credentials
- Certificate III in Individual Support or an equivalent credential in Aged Care or Disability.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Infection Control Certification.
- Valid driver's license along with access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle insured comprehensively.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
