About the Role
Join First Focus, a leading managed service provider in Australia recently expanding into New Zealand, as a Support Technician based in Christchurch. We are committed to building New Zealand's favorite MSP through exceptional client service and talented technicians. You'll be part of a supportive team that values curiosity, skill growth, and a culture of getting the job done efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve support tickets related to Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Exchange environments.
- Troubleshoot issues involving desktops, servers, firewalls, and network infrastructure including LAN and WAN.
- Provide support for cloud platforms such as Azure AD, Entra, Hyper-V, Citrix, and AWS (excluding VMware).
- Participate in project deployments and hands-on onsite support as required.
- Balance time between remote desk support and onsite client visits, with travel expenses covered by the company.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers to maintain streamlined, efficient, and secure technical environments.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, predominantly Azure AD, with some on-premises experience.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Exchange, and various cloud platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot across the full technology stack including desktops, firewalls, and network components.
- Experience using ticketing systems coupled with strong user communication skills and empathy.
- Possess a valid New Zealand driver's license or legal driving ability in New Zealand, along with personal vehicle availability for onsite visits.
