About the Role
Join a pioneering AI-native physical commodity trading company focused on sustainable materials, based in Berlin with a hybrid work model. This startup, headquartered in Helsinki with 15 team members across Helsinki, Berlin, and Stockholm, is backed by Lifeline Ventures and SpeedInvest. The Supply Operations Specialist will be instrumental in sourcing, validating, and delivering recycled plastics to expanding customers throughout Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth alongside sales by owning supply for critical accounts and projects.
- Develop and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with suppliers ensuring efficient delivery.
- Conduct purchasing activities negotiating competitive pricing and upholding high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with the product team by providing operational insights to enhance service speed and intelligence.
- Occasionally travel to supplier facilities and trade exhibitions.
Candidate Profile
- Proactive individual who initiates actions independently without waiting for direction.
- Comfortable embracing daily challenges, continuously meeting new contacts and naturally establishing relationships.
- Ability to rapidly learn, adapt to ambiguous situations, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Capable of working autonomously with full accountability.
- Native proficiency in Polish and professional fluency in English; native German is a bonus. Additional languages such as Slavic, Baltic, Italian, French, Spanish, or Portuguese are advantageous.
- Experience ranging between 2 to 6 years, with emphasis on attitude over years worked.
- Based in Berlin with a hybrid work arrangement.
