Supply Chain Planner

Role Overview

The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for both commercial and demand planning duties within the organization, ensuring streamlined supply chain processes.

Commercial Planning Responsibilities

• Extract consolidated sales forecasts for commercial products from the system.
• Coordinate monthly forecast reviews with the sales department, including both Local and Export sales teams.
• Prepare and issue bi-weekly commercial planning reports.
• Identify purchasing requirements for commercial products.
• Present long-term planning to the commercial buying manager for contract preparation, including crop-to-crop agreements.
• Generate Requests for Quotations (RFQs) in the system and coordinate with the Commercial Buying Manager for supplier communication.
• Create purchase orders and contracts promptly to be sent to suppliers within their lead times.
• Follow up with relevant managers to ensure timely purchase order release.
• Obtain supplier confirmations regarding delivery dates and maintain comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with the commercial buying manager on supplier and pricing matters.
• Liaise with the warehouse team regarding product deliveries.
• Coordinate with the logistics division for handing over original documents and customs clearance.
• Produce and deliver planning reports and sheets on schedule.
• Maintain organized filing and record-keeping systems.

Demand Planning Responsibilities

• Prepare daily demand and supply availability reports and activities.
• Compile monthly MBR (Monthly Business Review) and DMR (Demand Management Review) data to ensure full S&OP cycle adherence.
• Conduct statistical forecasting for local markets and monitor its effectiveness.
• Track KPIs related to finished goods availability daily and monthly across all plants.
• Monitor company forecast accuracy on a monthly basis for all markets.
• Assess supply performance and recommend improvements to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate closely with supply team members to ensure appropriate volume deliveries on time.
• Evaluate delivery team performance against company guidelines and departmental KPIs, and prepare monthly reports for accountability.
• Maintain a comprehensive historical data library and share insights as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and practices based on best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain (preferred).
• 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience in roles such as Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar (preferable foundation experience).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English are essential.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems or equivalent applications (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Effective multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work efficiently.
• Ability to work independently.
