Role Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee procurement, supply planning, inventory management, and logistics for both production and retail sectors. This hands-on leadership role entails establishing reliable supplier networks, forecasting demand accurately, managing supply risks, and implementing structured processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise procurement and supply planning for ingredients, packaging, equipment, and operational necessities.
• Coordinate demand forecasting and replenishment strategies throughout the organization.
• Forge and maintain supplier partnerships, negotiate commercial agreements, and develop alternative sources for critical supplies.
• Manage inventory levels by considering demand fluctuations, supplier lead times, product shelf life, and storage limitations, aiming to minimize shortages, overstocking, and emergency purchases.
• Handle international sourcing activities including sampling, production phases, and shipping schedules.
• Oversee stock control, inventory transfers, transportation, and distribution logistics.
• Ensure all procured materials comply with approved standards, including evaluations of supplier or product substitutions.
• Implement clear procedures for purchasing, maintain supplier records, report risks, and track performance metrics.
• Design logistics frameworks to accommodate expansion to new sites and future regional distribution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience managing supply chain and procurement in food and beverage, food manufacturing, hospitality, retail, or similar industries.
• In-depth practical knowledge of inventory control, supplier relationship management, and both domestic and international logistics operations.
• Experience sourcing food-grade ingredients and packaging materials, with a solid grasp of quality standards and shelf life considerations.
• Proven success improving product availability, managing costs effectively, and ensuring timely completion of purchases and projects.
• Strong abilities in negotiation, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP software to develop accurate plans and comprehensive reports.
• Familiarity with the Qatar or GCC supply markets is advantageous.
