About the Role
Join the Greenland Group in Qatar as a Full-Time Supervisor for Quality Control overseeing steel fabrication and construction projects. This role requires comprehensive monitoring of quality assurance processes to guarantee that all activities adhere to approved technical specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all quality control measures related to steel fabrication and construction activities including inspection of raw materials, steel structures, welding, cutting, and assembly procedures.
- Verify adherence to drawings, specifications, and quality benchmarks by checking dimensions, alignment, weld integrity, and structural precision.
- Collaborate closely with quality control inspectors, welders, fabricators, and production teams to ensure standards are met.
- Detect any defects during inspection and oversee corrective actions until satisfactorily resolved.
- Review and analyze inspection documentation such as reports, checklists, and quality records.
- Engage with clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors for quality assurance requirements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality policies, and company procedures.
- Manage sampling, testing, and inspection of incoming raw materials and finished rebars to ensure product quality.
- Direct laboratory testing processes including tensile strength, chemical composition, and bending tests to verify steel quality.
- Identify and segregate defective or non-compliant steel products immediately to maintain quality standards.
- Guarantee calibration and maintenance of testing equipment comply with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Assess metallurgical test certificates to approve or reject materials destined for export.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in quality control supervision related to steel fabrication or similar industries.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in welding inspections and weld quality evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of construction supervision and quality control procedures specific to steel making and detailing.
- Experience with adherence to quality management protocols and standards.
