Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay Lead for a one-year contract to spearhead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay systems in a complex global organization.

This role involves managing end-to-end compensation and variable pay solutions across several SAP SuccessFactors instances, ensuring they align with global Total Rewards strategy, comply with local legal requirements, and adapt to evolving business needs. Collaboration with HR, Total Rewards, Finance, IT, and regional stakeholders is essential, providing expert functional leadership in this domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules across multiple platforms.
  • Convert global compensation strategies and business demands into scalable configurations and design salary planning, merit cycles, bonuses, and incentives.
  • Develop global compensation templates, workflows, eligibility criteria, and guidelines incorporating regional and legal entity nuances.
  • Document region-specific requirements such as proration calculations, payout schedules, and plan suspensions or redesigns.
  • Evaluate limits and features of SAP SuccessFactors concerning executive compensation and Long-Term Incentive programs, managing integrations with external vendors.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of compensation solutions across multiple SuccessFactors instances while maintaining regional compliance.
  • Define governance controls over configuration, testing, deployment, and release cycles.
  • Design, configure, and oversee variable pay schemes like bonuses, sales incentives, spot awards, ensuring alignment with performance management calibration outcomes.
  • Oversee integration requirements among Compensation, Employee Central, Performance Management, Payroll, and Finance systems for accurate, traceable compensation data.
  • Support data migration and resolve technical integration challenges collaboratively with IT teams.
  • Ensure compensation solutions adhere to local labor laws, pay equity mandates, and internal policies; promote transparency and equity through process improvements.
  • Develop and deliver compensation analytics, reporting frameworks, executive dashboards, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, conduct stakeholder workshops, and act as the key subject matter expert for SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, data quality, and user experience in compensation processes and track outcomes through KPIs.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum eight years' experience in HR technology focusing on SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay.
  • Proven track record as a Compensation Lead or Senior Consultant on global HR transformation projects involving multi-instance SuccessFactors environments.
  • Expertise in managing compensation cycles across multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation plan design, budgeting, pay equity, market benchmarking, and Total Rewards frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Employee Central, Performance Management, and Payroll systems.
  • Competence in compensation data migration, conversion procedures, and advanced reporting techniques including Story and Ad Hoc Reports.
  • Awareness of emerging trends such as pay transparency, pay equity, and AI/GenAI in compensation analytics.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and consulting capabilities with an ability to navigate competing priorities across global regions.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and/or Variable Pay certification is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Performance & Goals Management and payroll integration principles.
  • Experience dealing with executive compensation, incentive plan designs, and compliance in complex regulated settings.

Additional Information

This is a contract role based in Singapore, requiring onsite presence. The contract is for one year. Candidates must be prepared to manage multiple business clusters and global geographies simultaneously.
