Position Overview

The role involves assisting the Subcontracts Manager with subcontract scope management from proposal stages through execution of offshore construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Subcontracts Manager in business analysis, business development, and project lifecycle documents regarding subcontract requirements to deliver effective project strategies.
  • Engage actively with the proposal team to secure firm and budgetary subcontract pricing during proposal phases.
  • Review client contract requirements and support the development of preliminary Subcontract Execution Plans.
  • Help establish and align bidders lists in coordination with the Supply Chain Headquarters to maximize subcontract opportunities.
  • Contribute to formalizing the Subcontract Plan in line with the Overall Project Execution Plan.
  • Maintain close collaboration with scope owners to ensure delivery of necessary outputs.
  • Support defining scopes of work, key deliverables, and performance criteria in agreement with subcontractors.
  • Assist in tendering, evaluation, and selection processes for subcontractors.
  • Support negotiation activities pre-award, including determining final liquidated damages with subcontractors.
  • Participate in weekly project progress meetings alongside the Subcontracts Manager, covering stages from pre-orders to purchase order close-out.
  • Help monitor and apply change management procedures to control cost and schedule impacts related to service activities.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant business field preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is beneficial.
  • At least five years of subcontracting experience, especially in managing offshore projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong expertise in contract administration, procurement processes, and marine logistics is essential.
  • Good understanding of industry standards such as DNV, IMCA, ISO, API, IEEE; knowledge of permit requirements is advantageous.
  • Experience with offshore safety systems and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and subcontractors.
