Job description
Overview
A globally recognized international architecture practice is launching its new Riyadh studio in Saudi Arabia. The appointed Studio Practice Leader will play a central role in uniting the studio’s operations, team, clients, and projects, and spearheading its future expansion in the region. This leadership position requires overseeing studio functions and acting as the face of the firm within the Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage ongoing operations for the Riyadh studio.
- Coordinate the integration of personnel, project work, and operational systems to develop a thriving business in Saudi Arabia.
- Strengthen and develop senior-level client relationships and lead business development initiatives countrywide.
- Utilize an extensive professional network to identify opportunities and support winning new contracts.
- Ensure appropriate resourcing for project delivery as workload increases.
- Manage and navigate local regulatory frameworks, statutory requirements, and approval procedures.
- Lead financial management including reporting, compliance, and operational administration.
- Mentor and develop local staff members.
- Represent the practice externally with credibility and cultural sensitivity specific to Saudi Arabia.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven senior leadership experience in architecture, design, construction consultancy, or related development sectors.
- Demonstrated success in business development, client engagement, and winning contractual work.
- Experience working effectively within Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC region.
- An extensive network of clients, developers, consultants, and industry stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.
- Comprehensive understanding of the local market, regulatory environment, and approval processes.
- Exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, and communication abilities.
- Educational background in architecture or related discipline is preferred.
- Arabic language proficiency is highly desirable along with strong cultural insight of the Saudi context.
