Structural Revit Drafter / Modeller (Intermediate to Senior)

About the Role

ACH Consulting Engineers is seeking a skilled Structural Revit Drafter/Modeller to join their team full-time in Auckland. This role suits a detail-oriented individual who values producing clean, accurate, and well-coordinated sets of structural drawings, collaborating on a diverse range of residential, commercial, and industrial developments within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Working in close partnership with structural engineers, the successful candidate will create precise structural drawings and 3D models from initial concepts to final construction documents. They will take full ownership of drawing sets, establish high standards for checking and issuing documents, suggest improvements for detailing and reporting processes, and provide guidance to junior drafters. Sound judgment is required to determine when to raise concerns or proceed under time-sensitive deadlines.

The main tasks include producing structural plans and 3D models using Revit and AutoCAD across varied project scales, interpreting engineers' sketches, calculations, and directions to form clear and buildable details, coordinating models with architectural and services plans to detect and resolve clashes, managing multiple revisions with version control to uphold quality, and liaising with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to clarify documentation status.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of practical experience creating structural drawings in Revit, preferably within New Zealand's consulting engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing and construction techniques.
• Exceptional attention to detail, able to identify outdated revisions and non-buildable details.
• Self-motivated with the discipline to prioritize and manage workload independently.
• Effective, thoughtful communicator with engineers, architects, and contractors.
• Positive, proactive attitude fostering good working relationships.
