Job description
About AlHadaf International Industries
AlHadaf International Industries is a company specializing in metal solutions, blending advanced craftsmanship with innovative approaches to address a broad spectrum of projects and industrial sectors. The organization engages in intricate and technically demanding projects, offering professionals a platform to contribute to solutions that balance aesthetics with performance.
Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer based in Riyadh focused on E-Houses and prefabricated electrical buildings. The role involves comprehensive structural engineering responsibilities including design, fabrication support, lifting, transportation, and installation of E-houses.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer all structural aspects of E-houses: steel frameworks, floors, roofs, walls, equipment supports, and structural connections.
- Conduct structural analysis considering static, dynamic, operational, transport, lifting, wind, seismic, and other relevant load conditions.
- Focus on structural integrity during critical phases such as lifting, transportation, unloading, and final positioning, detailing lifting points, beams, temporary supports, and transportation restraints.
- Create and evaluate lifting and transportation methodologies, including calculations and technical documentation, to ensure the safe handling of E-house modules.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, 3D/CAD models, fabrication drawings, and technical documents.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, fabrication, production, logistics, and installation teams to verify designs are practical, manufacturable, transportable, and installable on site.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 5 years of direct, relevant experience in structural design and engineering of E-houses, electrical buildings, modular electrical substations, or similar prefabricated electrical facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of steel frame structural analysis and design for E-houses and modular prefabricated buildings.
- Proven expertise designing structures to support heavy electrical/mechanical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems, batteries, cable trays, HVAC, and associated equipment.
- Experience addressing all relevant load conditions including lifting, transportation, handling, unloading, and operational loads.
- Skilled in assessing center of gravity, lifting points/lugs, load paths, temporary supports, reinforcement and transportation restraints.
- Proficient in developing and reviewing lifting plans, calculations, transportation calculations, and comprehensive method statements.
- Expertise in steel connections—bolted, welded—base frames, skids, and structural interfaces.
- Proficiency with structural analysis/design software and 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD and related CAD applications.
- Strong knowledge of international and local structural codes and standards governing steel structures, seismic, wind, lifting, transportation, and industrial facilities.
- Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams from electrical through installation stages and review fabrication/shop drawings to ensure practical engineering solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Professional certification or licensure is preferred.
- Experience with industrial E-houses, substations, data centers, power generation or heavy-duty prefabricated electrical buildings is considered a strong plus.
Mandatory Requirement
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in E-house structural engineering, demonstrating practical expertise in designing E-house structures accommodating heavy electrical equipment loads and incorporating considerations for lifting, transport, unloading, and installation. Experience only in conventional building or general steel structure design will not meet this requirement.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
