Job description
About Oxygro Systems
OXYGRO, a branch of Javva Green, specializes in designing, manufacturing, and constructing greenhouses, vertical farming systems, and farming substrates. It also delivers heating, irrigation, project management, and maintenance services. Notably, OXYGRO completed a 37.5-hectare cut-flower farm in Naivasha, Kenya within six months. The Bengaluru engineering team designs and automates systems for clients spread across Africa, the Gulf, and Asia.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level engineer based in Bengaluru to be responsible for design and simulation through our product portfolio. You will handle the entire development lifecycle, from 3D modeling and simulation to producing finalized drawings and approvals. The objective is to ensure all designs are accurately modeled, reliably simulated, and thoroughly documented such that field failures are eliminated.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models of components and assemblies and develop comprehensive AutoCAD drawing packages.
- Calculate environmental loads such as wind, snow, and operational impacts for each specific project location.
- Conduct simulations including static, buckling, and deflection analyses before release of designs.
- Determine sizing for parts, joints, and anchoring based on simulation results.
- Prepare detailed calculation reports for each analysis to be shared with clients and regulatory authorities.
- Convert recurring simulation results into standardized selection tables to streamline routine project approvals.
- Review drafting team outputs to ensure consistency with simulation findings prior to release.
- Optimize material usage by reducing weight without compromising stability given load constraints.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s in Machine Design or Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) preferred.
- 4 to 6 years experience involving both design and simulation responsibilities.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and at least one 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Practical experience using Inventor Nastran, ANSYS, or SolidWorks Simulation on real projects.
- Familiarity and experience calculating wind loads following standards like IS 875, Eurocode, or ASCE 7.
Additional Information
- Engagement entails design ownership and simulation for an entire product range serving international clients.
- Project locations span Africa, Gulf countries, and Asia.
- The recruitment process includes a walk-in interview held in Chennai, followed by a remote trial period lasting 1–2 weeks and a mandatory three-week foundational training with stipend support.
- Candidates should bring their resume and evidential samples of prior 3D designs, simulations, and drawing sets, ensuring confidential details are omitted, for the interview.
