Role Responsibilities

• Perform structural engineering calculations and devise structural design solutions for various building projects, including assessing and strengthening existing structures.
• Develop and review design drawings; work alongside structural technicians to build Revit models; engage in BIM coordination to facilitate project implementation.
• Collaborate with engineers from different disciplines and assist with project management tasks including correspondence and technical reporting.
• Manage direct communication with clients and other professionals independently, cultivating reliable, trust-based relationships through clear communication and dependable delivery.
• Conduct site supervision duties when necessary and support project teams across Queensland and Australia.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree accredited under the Washington Accord with at least four years of relevant experience in structural engineering for building projects, and progressing towards Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
• Demonstrates strong structural design expertise with a solid understanding of Australian building codes, contract administration, and submission processes.
• Experience in preparing calculations and coordinating drawings and models; familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit, or programming is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision; excellent planning, prioritization, and project budget/time management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills coupled with a commitment to ongoing professional growth and knowledge sharing.
