Storeperson

Overview

The Storeperson will be accountable for all inventory items under their care, ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping and safety compliant with company policies. They are expected to provide outstanding support services to end users.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in the cycle counting and stock-taking procedures.
• Update bin location details in the system for new stock codes.
• Accurately sort and store Ground Engagement Tools (GET) and bulk items within the yard.
• Implement optimal storage and handling in accordance with stock specifications.
• Record and maintain stock bin upkeep using proper controls and documentation.
• Prepare stock items as requested following established procedures efficiently for end users.
• Maintain control and security of inventory and warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet stackers, and hand trucks.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free working environment.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and regulations.
• Complete other delegated tasks from supervisors as needed.

Job Competencies

• Proficient use of Pronto inventory management system.
• Good computer literacy.
• Understanding of warehousing operations and inventory controls.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum two years in a similar role.
• Strong initiative and self-drive.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Experience operating diesel and electric forklifts.
• Basic health and safety knowledge.
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Certificate in Mechanical or Business-related course is preferred.
• CIPS certification may be sponsored by the company.
