Storekeeper

Position Overview

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing merchandise across departments within the facility. This role includes handling deliveries, ensuring proper storage and rotation of stock, adhering to quality and safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness in storage areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and stage goods by department, marking them for correct placement within the facility.
• Transport merchandise using pallets or carts to appropriate departmental areas.
• Complete inventory requisition forms and promptly report low stock levels to supervisors.
• Manage deliveries by inspecting perishables for freshness, cleanliness, and quality, rejecting defective or incorrect items.
• Follow food safety and handling protocols to maintain hygiene standards across food-related zones.
• Organize, sanitize, and clean refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove and properly store empty pallets, cardboard, and waste materials.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; undergo relevant safety training and certifications.
• Comply with company policies regarding appearance, confidentiality, asset protection, and professional communication with guests and colleagues.
• Support team objectives by fostering positive workplace relationships.
• Meet quality assurance standards and perform manual tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating various facility terrains.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.
